Project Overview
Metropolitan Peace Initiatives (MPI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing gun violence and strengthening communities through education, intervention, and community partnerships. As the organization's central hub, MPI supports multiple initiatives, programs, and campaigns—each serving distinct audiences while contributing to one shared mission.
As Senior Graphic Designer, I help evolve and expand the organization's visual identity across print, digital, events, reports, and community engagement. Beyond design execution, my role includes creative project management, cross-functional collaboration, and overseeing production to ensure every deliverable remains consistent, accessible, and aligned with the organization's mission.
DIRECTION
The visual direction focuses on balancing credibility with humanity. While MPI addresses serious and complex issues surrounding community violence intervention, the work also celebrates resilience, leadership, and the people creating positive change every day.
By introducing subtle elements of nostalgia, warmth, and optimism into the visual system, the brand becomes more approachable without losing its authority. Clean typography, bold layouts, and thoughtful storytelling work together to communicate expertise while highlighting the hope, progress, and impact happening across the communities MPI serves.

" The strongest brands don't just communicate—they create connection. Every project contributes to a larger visual system that helps communities recognize, trust, and engage with MPI's mission."
